Relief hands can't reach

Cupping therapy in Batel, Curitiba

Cups decompress the muscles through suction instead of compressing them. It's the way to reach deep tension that hand pressure alone can't release.

The session

Suction that decompresses instead of pressing

The cups create gentle suction on the skin, lifting the tissue instead of pushing it. This decompresses the muscles, improves oxygenation in the area, and helps recovery. It feels unlike anything else, and people who try it usually ask for it again.

Her hands are so soft, with gentle touches on my body, reaching the tension points and giving me incredible relaxation. After the massage the feeling stays. I felt lighter, calm, wonderful.

Step by step

Your session, from start to finish

We talk first

You tell me where the tension is and I explain what the cups feel like, because it's different from what most people expect.

The cups go on slowly

I start with light suction and adjust as I go. In some areas the cup stays still, in others it glides.

I explain the marks

Cupping can leave round marks for a few days. This is a normal reaction to the suction, and I'll tell you how long they usually last.

What it's for

What cupping solves

It's for tension that sits too deep to release with hand pressure, and for bodies that need to recover from exertion.

  • Deep tension, the kind below the layer hands can reach.
  • Muscle recovery, after a hard workout or repeated strain.
  • Circulation, the suction draws blood to the area and improves oxygenation.
  • Back stiffness, when the whole area feels hardened instead of just one spot.
Being straight with you

When cupping isn't the right choice

I'd rather tell you this before you pay for a session that won't work for you.

Cupping is for you if
  • The tension is deep and hand pressure didn't fix it
  • You're recovering from physical exertion
  • You're fine with round marks for a few days
  • You want to try a feeling different from a regular massage
Then I'll point you another way
  • If you can't have marks because of an upcoming event, photo shoot or trip, leave it for another time
  • If you have very sensitive skin, varicose veins in the area, or take blood thinners, let me know before booking
  • If what you want is to relax your whole body, a relaxing massage is the way to go

Frequently asked questions

Most asked questions about cupping therapy

If your question isn't here, send it on WhatsApp and I'll answer before you book.

What is cupping therapy for?

The cups create gentle suction on the skin, lifting the tissue instead of pushing it. This decompresses the muscles, improves oxygenation in the area, and helps recovery. It's for deep tension that hand pressure can't reach, for recovery after physical exertion, for circulation, and for back stiffness.

Which parts of the body can be cupped?

The back, belly, arms and knees. We choose the area based on where the tension is that day.

Are the purple marks normal? How long do they last?

They're normal and expected. The round marks appear because of the suction and fade on their own in a few days. If you have an event, photo shoot or trip coming up, it's best to leave the session for another time.

Does cupping therapy hurt?

It feels like the skin is being pulled, and people usually describe it as different from anything they've felt before. I adjust the suction strength with you, so we can find the point that's strong enough without being uncomfortable.

Are there contraindications?

Let me know before booking if you have very sensitive skin, varicose veins in the area, or take blood thinners. People with thrombosis or a fever can't have any kind of massage.
